On 1 July 2025, TASIS announced the formation of its Leadership Council in Nyala, South Darfur, marking a shift from informal alliance to structured governance body. The 37-member Leadership Council was formalized, following wide consultations and the signing of foundational documents like the Founding Charter and the Transitional Constitution.
The council serves as the executive leadership of the alliance, responsible for carrying out the strategic vision set out in the founding documents, overseeing political, military, and civil collaboration, and navigating the transition toward peace, democracy, and federal, decentralized governance
